Abstract	Established in 1962, the National Research Council (NRC) Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) provides a range of both technical and business-oriented advisory services along with potential financial support to growth-oriented Canadian small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) at all stages of the innovation process. NRC-IRAP helps SMEs build their innovation capacity, understand technology issues and opportunities and provides linkages to various experts.
